What’s the job?

As a Technical Account Manager at Leapfin, you are an accountant and analyst looking to move into a customer-facing role and be a problem solver for our customers. This role combines deep accounting expertise with technical proficiency, enabling you to drive customer success, support go-to-market strategies, and influence product development. You’ll work on impactful problems and get into the weeds with our customers’ accounting problems.

This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape our customer success strategy and grow within a startup environment. You’ll work with innovative technology, collaborate with a talented team, and empower leading brands to achieve their financial goals.

What does that mean?

  • Consultative Approach: Become a Leapfin expert, leveraging your technical accounting and data analyst background to advise customers on best practices for using Leapfin and its integration partners like Stripe, NetSuite, and many others.
  • Technical Accounting Expertise: Flex your GAAP knowledge and partner with our innovative customers to provide guidance on ambiguous accounting problems. You’re not their auditor, but you know what auditors look for and have seen many revenue accounting scenarios before.
  • Data Solutioning: Diagnose and resolve accounting-related data issues, working with large data sets and complex accounting problems.
  • Technical Implementations: Collaborate with the Customer Success team and leverage your analytics abilities to design and deliver data solutions during implementation.

  • Accounting Expertise: A background in technical accounting, either as a contributor or in a role supporting accounting/finance systems. In this role, you will display expertise around Income statements, balance sheets, and all things revenue accounting and beyond.

  • A passion for new technology including AI: You are curious about new technologies and are using AI in your day-to-day life.
  • Technical Acumen: You are an expert with SQL, databases, and APIs.

  • Location: Ideally based in the Bay Area, though remote applicants will be considered.
